Welcome to My Korner, I pray that you will be encouraged by my simple thoughts.

God Bless, Kelli

Simply Divine !

that's what the front of the card said.

Opening the card, I went on to read this message ....

" 'And this shall be a sign unto you; ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' " Luke 2:12 (KJV)

May your Christmas be a time to reflect on the simplicity of His birth
and the magnitude of His purpose.

I read it again!

May your Christmas be a time to reflect on the simplicity of His birth
and the magnitude of His purpose.

Acrostic:

C - CHILD ... unto us is born ...

Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel."

H - HEAVEN ... from where He came ...

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

R - REASON ... for the Season He is ...

John 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through Him."

I - IMMANUEL ... He shall be called ...

Matthew 1:23 " 'Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,' which translated means, 'God with us'.

S - SAVIOR ... who is Christ the Lord ...

Luke 2:10-11 "And the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.' "

T - TRUTH ... the Life and the Way ...

John 14:6-7 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.  If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.' "

M - MAN ... who walked among us ...

John 1:1, 14 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." ... "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

A - ALMIGHTY ... among other things ...

Isaiah 9:6 "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."

S - SACRIFICE ... the ultimate ...

1 Peter 1:18-19 "Knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ."

CHRISTMAS!  May your Christmas be a time to reflect on the simplicity of His birth and the magnitude of His purpose ....

"Let the Stable Still Astonish"
by: Leslie Leyland Fields

Let the stable still astonish:
Straw-dirt floor, dull eyes,
Dusty flanks of donkeys, oxen;
crumbling, crooked walls;
No bed to carry that pain,
And then, the child,
Rag-wrapped, laid to cry
In a trough.

Who would have chosen this?
Who would have said:; "Yes,
Let the God of all the heavens and earth be born here, in this place." ?
Who but the same God
Who stands in the darker, fouler rooms of our hearts
and says, "Yes, let the God of heaven and earth be born here -
in this place."

From the Cradle to the Cross!

"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" - 2 Corinthians 9:15

Christmas (Gifts) and Blessings to you and all of yours!!
