Beautiful Music!

I heard the sounds of angels last night - or sounds that would have at least made the angels proud - and that most beautiful music was coming straight out of the mouths of babes! ... babes who have actually matured into some precious young people whose voices blended with a harmony and a flow that just overwhelmed my soul!  We were at my daughter's high school Christmas Choir Concert, and their sweet music filled the air!  Their fine music filled our hearts!  And their beautiful music was filled with many songs in celebration and worship of the Reason for the Season ... The Christ Child ... our Lord and Savior ... our King!  Come let us adore Him! .....

Acrostic:

W - WISE MEN! .... they did, and we would be wise to too!

Matthew 2:9-11 "And having heard the king, they went their way; and lo, the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them, until it came and stood over where the Child was.  And when they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy.  And they came into the house and saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell down and worshiped Him; and opening their treasures they presented to Him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh."

O - OH! .... the sounds those angels did make!

Matthew 2:8-14 "And in the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields, and keeping watch over their flock by night.  And an angel of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened.  And the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  And this will be a sign for you; you will find a baby wrapped in cloths, and lying in a manger.'  And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.' "

R - REJOICE! .... and raise the roof!

Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!"

S - SHEPHERDS .... left their flocks to go and do so!

Luke 2:15-20 "And it came about when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds began saying to one another, 'Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.'  And they came in haste and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger.  And when they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child.  And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds.  But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.  And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them."

H - HOSTS .... those angels just make a habit of it!

Isaiah 6:1-3 "In the year of King Uzziah's death, I saw the Lord sitting on a thone lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.  Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two be covered his feet, and with two he flew.  And one called out to another and said, 'Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory.'

I - I ... will praise Him!

Psalm 9:1-2 "I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Thy wonders.  I will be glad and exult in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High."

P - PEOPLE ... and so will we all!

Philippians 2:9-11 "Therefore also God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

WORSHIP!

Come let us adore Him! ... indeed!

Amen and Amen!!

Praying many more blessings your way!

Kelli
