Transition back to Frankfurt
and to the USA
Saying our final goodbye to the troops at Kandahar
we boarded a C-130 taking us to a military base in Kyrgystan where we
transfered to a C-135 heading back to Frankfurt Germany. It was an amazing
moment, I'm sure that many of our troops experience: stepping off of
that C-135 only hours out of that unforgiving environment of Afghanistan
onto and into the lush, moist, floral environment of Frankfurt! Amazing
moment!
That next morning we boarded our civilian flight,
arriving in Dallas some eight hours later and then back to good ole
Alabama and a great reception by our loved ones and friends, just another
one of those special moments.
Speaking for the three of us, it was an honor
to stand before our men and women in uniform throughout Afghanistan.
What a joy to lift them up, encourage them, to express our (your) appreciation
for their personal sacrifice for our freedom's sake and to spend time
before God's amazing Throne of Grace and Mercy with the body of Christ.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
