Travel day to Fire Base Salerno, 501st

Packed everything up and moved, via helicopter to our new home until 5 July. This is the base where CPT Aram Donigian is located with his unit the 501st 'GERONIMO's'. The trip was a bit long, about 45 minutes longer than normal because we ran into one of those desert sand storms and the pilots had to fly around it. Aram was right there to greet us, which was a long awaited moment for all. He then took us straight to our tent and got us settled in, so good to see him.

'Saturday Night Live'

At 6:30PM, that same night we all met at the '1st Church of Salerno' for what the Chaplin called their 'Saturday Night Live' program. The chapel was full and everyone sung at the top of their voices, it was impressive! Gary was given the floor and spent the next hour encouraging, praising, thanking, teaching and presenting the Gospel, they were all so very gracious and receptive, it was quite a moving experience for all - which is becoming a common experience!
